The Herbarium receives specimens, photographs and images of Mediterranean plants to identify and provide information. We hope this is a useful identification tool to enable recognition of some of the plant species, including by those people without specialist knowledge, and at the same time providing information about the plants and their provenance.
We provide a description, photographs of the plant, in close-up and habitat where available and scanned specimen images. Short notes are given on the uses of the plants and if we have data available on the poisonous nature of species. (Note absence of information does not imply the species is not poisonous!)
